Festival Ironwood kicks off Wednesday with music, beer and brats.
The annual festival will be celebrating its 17th year and will feature food, raffles, sports, kids activities, and live music.
“This is the festival people like to come home for,” said Kim Kolesar, executive director of the Ironwood Chamber of Commerce, which is helping to sponsor the event. People will set up their family reunions and get-togethers around the festival, Kolesar said.
“Bessemer has its Fourth of July, this is our event,” said Nancy Zak, treasurer for the Ironwood Chamber. “It’s a great thing for the community.”
The festival lasts Wednesday through July 19 and it’s got something for everyone.
